Hi All I am a Newbie

I am finally looking to acquire a 575M (always has been my poster car). Liked the 599 and their current pricing but prefer somewhat analogue cars compared to today's digital products. As an idea i currently have an RS6 and 993 Carrera S which i have had for some 10-15 yrs each. So what i buy tends to be a keeper and well maintained.

I think this site is fantastic and has lots of great information and shared knowledge. This is what i would like to pick further.

I am looking at a 575 F1 2003 plate which has a retrofitted FHP kite., The mileage is pretty light given the age c.10k miles

My concern is the service history and would this put you off

2003 1k franchise dealer
2005 2k franchise
2006 4k franchise
2008 8k independent dealer (indie) +belts
2010 8.5k indie
then goes into storage with the indie, next service is
2015 10k indie +belts
2016 10k indie
2017 10.2k indie

brakes /disc tyres are all good, clutch is c70% worn. Clear HPI , cosmetically it is in good shape inside and out.

Would the above put you off? as they want 'good' money for it i.e if the 575m world in the UK is a 85k-130k mkt , this is certainly upper mid of the range.

Also any suggestions of hiring a good inspector?

thank you all

Car is Swindon based.

I agree mileage is light. The sevice record seems a bit sporadic but looking at p'head classified this seems common.

It is more of a weekend car. I would like to put c1-2k a yr. But don't want to the points above develop a load of issues over the 1st year.

Looking at the car this weekend. i have read about dash shinkage and i believe it can be fixed - but i'll look out for that.

What is this 'sticky switches' ? - is this plastic degradation of the switch or switches mechanically not working and being sticky. Is there a fix or do you have to buy new switch gear?

Appreciate all your responses so far

Thank you for all your responses and advise. I ended up buying the 575 inc its matching luggage from Bob Houghton. Very fair experience.

Pics to follow

Very happy with purchase. I am also just on gardening leave too so expecting to be using it a fair amt over the next few months if the weather is kind.

Now I need to source a bubble for the winter. Do any of you use these? Any recommendations as to brands.

Spec is grigio titanio, burgundy interior, retrofitted FHP, comes with all the accessories and luggage ( 6 pieces) . Leather parcel shelf.
Has tubi exhaust (original boxes and valves also included in sale). Other all original.

Only thing it hasn't got are the side shields but that is not a biggie to me.

Anything else specific to the spec u wanted to know?
