Short 2 minute video:
The Lusso is the best 4 seat family car money can buy. If you are even remotely tempted, get one before they are made extinct by emissions regulations.
The Lusso has a glorious old F1 car style scream from its naturally aspirated V12. It's almost worth buying for that silky smooth high revving engine alone! It also puts its power down very well thanks to its AWD system (especially on the new standard Michelin PS4S tyres), unlike a DBS Superleggera for example, which struggles for traction almost every time full throttle is applied. Another notable feature is its 4WS (4 wheel steering), which makes this long car manoeuvre and feel like a much shorter wheelbase car. In short it feels agile and nimble in a way that belies its length and mass.
Avoid the early Lusso's however, as these have extremely over-servo-assisted steering, with no feedback. The factory sports exhaust muffles the engine note to the extent it doesn't sound like a Ferrari, or a V12. An aftermarket Novitec backbox with X-Pipe will however unleash all that Ferrari V12 goodness. A remote valve controller will allow you to switch between a comfortably quiet car, and a screaming banshee. Think carefully before buying new, as the Year 1 depreciation on these makes the Wall Street Crash of 1929 look like a picnic.
This supercar will seat 4 adults in perfect comfort. All of my family prefer sitting in the rear seats in fact, as they offer a stunning panoramic view through that huge edge to edge glass roof, which is worth every penny of its eye-watering £11,500 option cost. The Lusso is supremely comfortable, luxurious and quiet in Comfort mode. It even has double-glazing so you can cross a continent in smooth, quiet luxury if you wish. Yet you can have a lot of fun in Sports mode (or "higher").
I had the Lusso detailed by Azuri.
Azuri did various items of work, including paint correction and Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating and EXOv4. Glass, wheels, rubber parts and wheels were also treated. CF and gloss black wraps were also applied selectively, as was 3M pinstriping.
When I saw my detailed car I absolutely LOVED it! It was truly transformed. Mirror shine, perfect paintwork, impeccable small details.

Thank you both
The video in my original post above shows how different Ferrari's Lusso paint is. It has a lot more metal flake, and instead of shifting colours in the sun like the McLaren, the Ferrari simply reflects like a mirror, with particularly dramatic effect of reflecting the sky and clouds. The McLaren does not really reflect.

That 720S looks amazing! Love the colour!
Yes it's amazing how direct sunlight makes it pop, as with a number of McLaren paints. In case anyone is thinking of buying one. Lusso is officially dead.

I hope that Ferrari isn't designing the PuroSang to appeal to the 'in your face' market more than to those who appreciate the relative subtlety of Lussos, 612s etc
I'd say it's extremely likely. The biggest global markets for SUV (by a HUGE margin) are USA and China. Both like "in your face" design and B I G grilles. The new BMWs do look hideous, so I'm sure Ferrari won't go that far... they are Italian after all
But back on topic, I really do not see a successor to the Lusso ever being created, now that Ferrari is a listed corporate. 4 seat Ferarris will only be SUVs in future, as that's where the volume is.
I got a really nice surprise. Ferrari had sent the original owner of my Lusso a precise hand made one-off model of his exact car, right down to every spec detail inside and outside.
Top guy, as he so kindly dropped it off at my house for me, to keep with my car.
It is in fact never opened and still security sealed, so I don't have the heart to unseal it either now.
It even came with three photographs from Ferrari's production line of my car being built.
Kudos to Ferrari for enhancing the (V12) customer buying experience in this way, and so very kind of the original owner to pass it on to me.
A few pics of the box and contents below.

Can’t believe how much I like it, and sorry it seems like the last of its kind, just as I’ve discovered them!
Fantastic cars, and especially at today’s prices there’s nothing comparable for me.
I know the feeling, and the more I use it the more I love it.Fantastic cars, and especially at today’s prices there’s nothing comparable for me.
Incredibly versatile & luxurious - yet it's a V12 supercar that does over 200mph... and screams like an old F1 car, when unleashed with the right exhaust.

Can I ask where you got your exhaust? Is it all novitec - back box, controller and x-pipe?
Thanks...
No, it's a Novitec back box as that sounds best. But expensive.Thanks...
Capristo X-Pipe, because both brands sound identical there.
Capristo valve controller, because it offer more control options than Novitec's controller.
Supplier was: https://www.scuderiacarparts.com/en-gb/aftermarket...
Ask for Dylan or Manu. They also arranged installation, as part of the package.

Im never going to get to own one, but I have always loved this model....
I love the whole Coupe look but with added V12.....
Very jealous.....
Never say never They drop a ton in the first year, so become more affordable in time. The earlier model, FF is significantly cheaper too.I love the whole Coupe look but with added V12.....

It's a very luxurious and usable family car, with the added bonus of being a Ferrari V12 supercar.
My wife & I took our son to Uni last month & the Lusso just impressed me so much.
Folded half the rear seats and swallowed up a boxed desktop PC etc, boxed monitor, laptop, and the usual student stuff: files, clothes, bedding, pots & pans, dishes etc etc.
I had my estate car on standby, but the Lusso did the job
Supercar with continent crushing capability. 2,200 RPM cruising in 7th (8,250 RPM redline on the V12), and its double glazing and high soundproofing makes it so relaxing.
I’ve grown to love this car.

I keep having thoughts of selling the 550 and getting one of these, as I'd use it more.
You're son is going to be a popular chap at uni, now everyone has seen him arriving in dad's Ferrari
It was the only way I was going to get a V12 that I'd actually use. A 2 seater wouldn't cut it for me, as I'd always take a lighter V8 for such drives. So a 4 seat family GT car, with good boot space was ideal as I knew it would get used. You're son is going to be a popular chap at uni, now everyone has seen him arriving in dad's Ferrari
Yes, arriving and leaving uni halls of residence was "interesting". The Novitec was so loud that it drew a small crowd both times.
