Then trickle charge is something I need to look into. I’m trying to rent a garage so far now it will be parked on the road. Is it possible to have a trickle charger connected to some sort of solar set up?
Also does anyone have any recommendations for a decent car cover
Thanks

Good luck sleeping.

Don’t abandon this thread, please post pics. The FF is the only prancing horse that I’d love to own.
Congratulations.

Stunning.

Fits in that space a treat. Kinda.
Thanks
Don’t talk to me about spaces. I rented a garage only to find it wouldn’t fit. We’ll it would go in but i couldn’t open the door to get out!!

I have had mine a month or so and found it needs charging more than once a week even with a drive thrown in. It quickly throws up a lot of error messages otherwise... If you don't have mains to hand, I have found a portable power station (Ecoflow River Pro) in the boot works pretty well, although it seems to turn itself off eventually which needs investigating...it may just be it is charged and goes into standby. If you can figure out a solar set-up, would love to know about it!

Re a cover, Specialised Covers to a custom made one for the FF. They get good write ups too.

Has anyone figured out how to add an easy DAB option to the radio system?

Thanks for the info Monkeybiz - is this the one you went for?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/EF-ECOFLOW-Portable-Multi...

i see they do a solar option to plug into it which would effectively keep the ups charged. there might be a simpler soloution but ive not found anything better than what youve offered! thanks for the tips re cover and wheel nuts.
hope your enjoying yours

Yes, that’s the one. Indeed re the solar option, but I still need to figure out how to stop it shutting down, ofherwise I am not sure the solar charging will help (The AC output turns off automatically when not used for 12 hours, but it goes off before that.)

Am also loving the car, FF’s really are the business.
do let me know how you get on - if it works i'll do the same!
Thanks

Ok, so on the Ecoflow unit there is a standby setting which you can set to standby ‘forever’. So I have selected that, and that solves the standby point. It still seems to kill the ac charger though after some time so given the Ecoflow is internet enabled, I have invested in a portable router (TP-Link M7000 4G LTE MiFi, c.£40), which plugs into the Ecoflow (clearly if you car is in range of a wifi network accessible to you, you can skip this). I then have a payg data only mobile set-up. My tracker also allows me to monitor battery voltage remotely, so now I can see when the battery is a little low and turn on the AC output on the Ecoflow and thus the charger. This helps eek out the power.

I did try the Ecoflow solar panel, but they are huge and need to be positioned just so in direct sunlight, so can’t be simply left in the car. Instead, I bought the additional Ecoflow battery so now have 1.44Wh, which is probably enough for a couple of weeks of battery maintenance. Thus, whilst it is a bit of hassle to set up, it seems like I have a reasonably low maintenance set up to keep the FF battery in shape whilst not needing to have it next to a power socket/visit it every day….
Thanks for this. Do you have any links for the products you used. Thanks gaz

having started this thread 6 months ago, I thought i'd update it. Sadly today i said goodbye to the car. It was a fantastic car which sounded so good. the reality was i didn't really use the back seats and was hankering after something different. After looking at 488's i decided to try a McLaren. I'll miss the FF (especially on the rare occasion i need to put 2 extra people in the car.
here's a photo of the outgoing and inbound car.

Thanks for all the info / support on this thread
