Dilemma. I am a hardened 2+2 V12 convert. Moved from 456 (miss its style not mechanics) to 612 (miss its sound not its interior), and now with FF (enjoying its style, sound and interior). I am struggling to move to the Lusso - same reasoning I held my Disco 3 until 5 was launched as the 4 did not feel an advanced enough move from the 3.

With that in mind - what's your take on holding FF until Purosangue launch (its a big move price wise- but let's assume that is less relevant here)? Are all V12 2+2 drivers excited about the Purosangue as the car to move into or do you view this really as an SUV and you would rather stick to the GT range of FF/ Lusso?

If the Purosangue ends up an SUV in my eyes, I think I will miss my low slung GT so will likely hold the FF and have some real fun with it on modifications and hold on to it.

However, if the Purosangue offers all the mod-con, V12 unfettered, low slung SUV wheels... it might be the one I retire with and rely on electrics for rest of stable....hmm...

Similar thoughts, expect I have a Lusso.

Tempted to trade into an 812 just to try for a bit, then get Purosangue, but would rather know the P is not going to be full on SUV before trading,
In that case, I’d keep Lusso as 2+2 is a more useable format for me. (15k miles last year in Lusso)

I did have an Urus for a while, but it was too much SUV and ironically too flash to use daily. Lusso is more under the radar! It also did remind me too much of Q7 after a while, though won’t have that issue with a Purosangue…
Strange that, forgot to mention - the 812 GTC did float by - figured it could be a temp fix as kids head off to Uni - and then back to a 2+2... for a 2 seater price tag kicks in for me as will not see mileage in it I think... test drive will be nice though!

No interest in the PS and really unhappy they are discontinuing the 2+2 V12. If I want a car to tow or go off-road, I take a G - at least that has some character imo - just no real interest in SUVs of any kind. Sure they are very accomplished vehicles, just no real urge to own one / want factor.
So my FF will stay (just had a new Nav installed yesterday as mine was broken), it can do pretty much everything apart from the above.
Is that the 2D Infortainment upgrade screen? Modena sent me FF aftermarket list and thought that might be a nice add on.
Agree, for a SUV - rather stick to my Disco or for petrol try and SVR RR or G Wagon. Cannot see me taking PS off anything other than tarmac.

Would £ 300 000 plus options change anyone's mind ? I reckon very limited production initially and not before 2024 for UK
If it's a V12 - not really. I fully expect 300k (with options mind). As I said am trying to keep price aside otherwise we'll end up discussing merits of crypto.

However, u make a good point on timing and production runs. There is a gap here with the end of run Lusso. I read 2022 production and 2023 delivery in Feb annual report release.

Hoping Ferrari does not cave in and hold back the V12 ahead of offering V8/ Hybrid - for me, kudos dies as will my interest.

God, I love the FF! One engine. Simple and slippy in snow!

I think SUVs get a lot of negative sentiment on forums. Lots of people dislike them.

I’m certainly saddened the Ferrari 2+2 GT platform have ceased production as a result.

Thing is whilst we all swear that we won’t be buying, in reality the purosangue will become the highest selling F car and will make a ton of £€$, just like Cayenne, Urus, Macan, Bentayga…

In central and west end London you see more Cullinan than all other RR models combined.

Reality is sports car enthusiast are a niche minority so long term maybe we’ll be grateful of being subsidised.

Real shame they don’t keep producing 2+2 GTs and use Purosangue for new to brand customers.
Agree that PS likely will be best seller if Ferrari follow strategy of its rivals and the V12 GT might be confined to a 2+0 812 variation. I have no issue with this per se but if the PS is really pitched as an SUV (notwithstanding use of vague marketing names like FUV), I think I will struggle to swap out the FF and take the view I don't fall into their target market....instead, being confined to the niche minority.

The obvious choice therefore will be to have fun holding the FF and - when time comes - move to a V12 GT (812 equiv) and tell the kids to follow in tow in their small sports hatch!

Ps SUV for me means - sitting high up the road and only enjoying straight line / (limited to) draggy driving.. if the PS can deal with these elements using a design cue that is subtle + with a non-steriod look, my head and heart might turn. The FF/ Lusso, as the 456/612 retain subtle road poise and certain class whether in front of you, at the side or in your rear view mirror....call me niche but I don't want to be the in-your-face king muscle on the road - we hide that in the front end.

Well informed posters on FChat have told us that the PS will be similar in dimensions to the Lusso and will NOT be a Urus/Bentayga/Cullinan/DBX type of car. It'll also be the most expensive as a decently optioned car will be around £450k.
According to them, Ferrari's sales expectations are also equivalent to FF & Lusso combined which will make it a rarer beast than any of the mid engine V8/V6 cars.
All of the above tells you that the PS is not going to be a 'best seller' in the way that the other brands' SUVs have been.
at 450k, price enters my equation... will have to hug the FF a little more in that case unless I make it a company car!!

Will be interesting to see if it's anything but the volume seller, at 450k cannot see it, around 300k mark, there is a strong chance.

Bit of a reflection over w/end and remembered why I bought into V12 2+2s...for me it was the next best practical thing to the V12 2 seater they reflected that I hugely admired... from the 575, 599 to F12 and now 812. I never stop turning my head to the 2 seater V12s albeit the 2+2 format will always give me more daily miles while kids in tow.

So it might be that as the PS does not reflect any of the V12 2 seaters (Roma V8 perhaps?), perhaps this is what lead me to the post as it might be a stretch too far in design away from any 2 seater V12 GT that it'll not be for me...

So my dealer finally got back to me... slight concern on timing of reply... in any event, they confirmed item is discontinued - shame. For now, official aftersales sits here https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/auto/genuine/ff

Been a while but recalled thread about upgrading FF headunit system to cover DAB/ WiFi Apple Car Play/ Android - interesting video upload since this post by "F-car Guy". Not sure if he is on PH forum - but he used a Pioneer SPH-EVO64DAB unit, an interesting upgrade option perhaps. Too complex for me to sort DIY. You can see post on YouTube.
