Yes as said £8.5k isn't that much if a car like that has sat idle for a while and needs recommissioning.
Looks like a nice one and a T drives like a Ferrari should.

Also the "MONDIAL t" badge is missing from the back.

There possibly a set of the Mondial wheels Superformance were selling so you don't need to buy Metric tyres?

The "t" doesn't have Metric wheels: it has the inch version, so no remortgage-inducing TRX tyres. That's what I find so odd about the wheels on this car.

Yeh that's right, it was only the 8 and QV that ran metrics.
The only thing I can think of is that it's had a set of aftermarket alloys put on at some point, I remember seeing a few Mondials on those 17" Azev 5 spokes in the 90's.
A set of the Superformance replicas has been the cheapest way to get it looking back to almost original.

The T is expensive to look after, don’t forget, more so than its predecessors. Drive one too...imho the cabs feel very fragile...not just build quality which isn’t great, but also in scuttle shake. Driving position for me at least was abysmal.

If this is the 3.4T model, it has the same engine as the 348Tb/TS and thus needs the engine removing for the major services every 3 years, for belts and tensioners. This costs roughly £4000 at JCT Ferrari, £1800 at an independent (prices of course vary depending on what you ask to be done, supercar rooms list this service at £750 but thats only the start.

So based on this alone £8.5K could easily be racked up!

It does appear to have the early wheels fitted which is odd, plus it seems a lot of money for a mondial Cab.....but it is a low mileage car.

I doubt* it matters for clutch and engine service purposes, but 2000 miles ago equates to 8+ years ago.

• Would £8.5k worth of work be usual at about 10k miles on these?

Yes that has the wrong wheels. The correct magnesium convex wheels are same as 328 ABS items but are quite rare to find and relatively expensive if buying new.

The T is fun to drive, nicely balanced analogue experience. As it's the 348 motor it sounds great with the Tubi exhaust. If driven regularly it's pretty damn reliable for that era of Ferrari. Clocked up 12k European miles in mine with no issues
