Thanks all for the update. I didn’t mention it at the time but the fuel filler cap was embossed with BAMFORD - which I had overlooked at the time. It does wear a NART Ferrari badge on the rear (see photo) - surprised that was allowed ? Or is it just nothing like the original badge.

It just has the US flag, the prancing horse and N A R T at the bottom on a blue background.
