I have a 6 speed manual pre LP Spyder have been looking for a manual LP 560 Spyder for some time without success , reluctantly considering an e-gear but undecided if LP 560 is enough of an improvment to make up for the loss of great 6 speed manual ? Has anyone here made the move ?

It is almost a Sunday toy around 4K miles per year . In what way is LP 560 more refined ? Comfort less squeaks ?Have had F1 Ferraris & have PDK Porsche but believe e-gear not to be as user friendly as either but very similar to F1 ?

Thank you for replies , it is agreed that LP e-gear is a big improvment on pre LP but my question is going from manual pre LP I see the LP e-gear would be OK , still a negative over manual but what are the positives to justify the £30k to go from 2007 to 2010 ?

I've been struggling with the same man maths as yourself for 18 months now. I too have a pre-LP manual but want the newer car. Is it worth the extra £30k? I'm not sure, probably. I really need to drive an E-gear LP to make my mind up.

The positives of the LP for me personally are, the front and rear is prettier, the suspension arms are a lot cheaper to replace and the engine can run a Supercharger without internal mods. biggrin
Interesting reply thank you . Your personal positives I gree with front & rear , not had to replaced suspension arm & don't intend to supercharge . No positives related to actual driving ?
