I have looked at various cars recently. Im finding quite a few that have been up for sale for a while.

Some of the cars have what I would call patchy history. A missed service here and there, sole worse than others. I tend to take the view if there is one missing some where in its past the that is ok. However, how do people feel about this scenario....

2011 car, serviced in 12, 13, may 14 and dec 14 (@17k miles). Nothing since. Its now on 23k. Trader will pay for full main lambo service before purchase. I will then service annually as per schedule. What affect will the gap have on saleability and value? Would it worry you?

Im also surprised by most cars having dealer history, rather than specialist. I intend to service at Grimaldi who are well respected (and always did my fcars). At 6 years old what affect will that have if any? I always preferred Indy services on fcars, but does lambo market require main dealer?

What do people think about the mileage? I come from a background of Ferrari's which were hyper sensitive to mileage. Are lambs the same? I will put at least 3500 miles on it in the next 12 months.

The car in question has been sat for the last five months at least. Its a rare car so Im not spoiled for choice sadly. I wonder whether a few more cars will pop up as we get closer to the end of the season. Its hard to say whether the price is reflective as there is so little to compare it with and we have a strange market right now where little is coming up for sale and little seems to be selling!

Is the dealer only thing lambo related? Ive never been impressed with main dealers and have heard many horror stories (from friends as well as forums). Hence my preference for a good Indy!

In technical terms is the LP any more difficult than the non-LP? I would have thought good indies would be able to competently deal with them.

Any other views on the service gap?

I rarely keep a car long. Probably a year, maximum two. So saleability is important.

I would have it inspected first. Then the tradSr would do a full service at a lambo main dealer.

Im no rush so I might keep looking. Hopefully some more will come up to wards the end of the summer!
