I don't know if it was just me but I wanted a change and had a garage selling my Gallardo for over a month (advertising across PH and the other main site) where the price is inline with the market.

Yet I had not had a single inquiry so I do not know how I can go about selling it really. Because whichever media I decide to use, if people are searching they will see it.

So my question is, are Gallardo really selling these days? Seems I have pitched the perfect time of the year for a spyder but I am surprised of the response, I do not even have tyre kickers enquires (which is good)

Regards

But as I said, it was inline with the market so its not overpriced nor underpriced too much

LP560 Spyder 2011 ,.. I know pistonhead wont allow me to ask "what is the right price" or "how much is it worth" so i will not cover this topic here....

But very strange .. Any input is appreciated as I want to sell it this year ..

Thanks

what traders offer are only what they are willing to "buy" and does not reflect on what they go for. I understand that they are in business and would like to make money on it, but i do not believe 25k less than what others are advertising do reflect the true value. If I was to sell it privately. I would be prepared to ask for less, but then how much difference are the prices between main dealer / other garages and private sale?

Respectfully, that'll be May not August, you've enjoyed this summer (!) not the new owner. smile
No, my last phrase was referring to when i started to sell in June, thinking it was a good time. And a month or so, no caller at all thats what surprised me.

I do not fully agree that what people like to pay is what it truly worth, That only reflect on what the buyer wants to pay, or sometimes seeking for a bargain, My point is, like some of you say, for slow economy (with the house prices as well), cars these price mark is not really shifting... Obviously the £5k golf they sell all day long no matter what. But an over 100k LP may have to be patient for the right buyer.

Re antony1981

You must be one of the few lucky guys really. I don't sell my cars on eBay to start with due to the amount of time wasters and let alone selling a car with this value.

I believe that they are more of a demand driven than price driven, even I advertise it the lowest in the market I still don't get much (if any ) interests.

I have it with a garage on a SOR basis since I cannot offer finance and warranty Privately. And he said he has not had an enquiry about it. And price is now 10k less than when I first intend to sell it back in May.
