I am thinking about getting another Gallardo (previously had a MK1 Manual, then an MK1 E-Gear), and am looking at LP's.

My question is would I be better off buying a "limited" edition, like a Bicolore (I love the look so would suit nicely) or an LP550-2 (are these considered rare / desirable or less desirable than the LP560?).

Am looking for low miles, post 2011 cars with the intention to keep for a few years and I quite like the idea of having something a little rarer than the mainstream LP's.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks for the replies. I think what I am also questioning is are the cars I mentioned worth the apparent premium that is on them at the moment?

The Bicolore ones seem to be quite a bit more than regular LP560's.

Not really sure what I want, as I removed the prop shaft on my last Gallardo to make it RWD, although this was to reduce low speed jerkiness on the e-gear which I hear isn't an issue on the LP-4's anyway

Personally I wouldn't pay a premium for a bicolour car as I don't like them fullstop anyway. if you do then that's fine but certainly not worth anymore.

Wouldn't be drawn in by some of the advertising saying rare special edition etc...and then asking a big premium.

I presume a Superleggera or Performante is out of budget but that's where I would go
I do actually like the black roof, just want to make sure I'm not paying £10k for what could be achieved with a simple wrap!

The superleggera etc I'm not really looking for, I need a certain degree of comfort, however tiny that my be so don't want to get something which is so full on in terms of being geared towards performance at the expense of everything else!

difficult one..... you need to ask what your are looking for in the lp....

in terms of investment, the balboni cars have appreciated the most this last year..... so if that is important

personally, if going 2wd, which is slower but the better drivers car, I'd get a later 2wd as they were sorted better - suspension and damper tweeks etc ... I went for the 560-2 anniversary as I wanted a large rear spoiler and the alcantara interior with bucket seats, period, so money didn't matter, I paid what I needed

the bicolore had the black roof, sl1 wheels and were high spec - glass engine cover, etc .... a standard car with a makeover therefore, a wrap could copy the roof, wheels are subjective

the ET cars were spec derivatives of the superleggera and performante, which weren't specials but were mainstream production cars

the 2013 facelift cars were facelift cars, last chance to shift stock before the huracan arrived, they were not "anniversary" specials like ads proclaim
I guess the answer is I'm looking just for an LP... but think it would be nice to have a slightly more "special" car, I quite like the fact the Bicolore ones were a limited run etc. I don't know how may -2's there are but I'm guessing considerably less than -4's

Just wondering if the price differences are justified, although I like the spec of the Bicolore and actually think the wheels look better. I had Callistos on my MK1 so I'm not that impressed that they are also on the majority LP's I am seeing, I want a whole "new" car if that makes sense.
