Performante Options ...
Discussion
Hi all,
Who here has ordered a Performante? I am deliberating about ordering magentic ride option. From what I understand this is fixed to the driving modes, so unfortunately you cant set soft suspension settings and Corsa mode. Does anyone drive on Corsa mode on the road though?
And what colours and specs have you chosen?
Thanks.

I disagree ... it’s like specing a GT3 RS with comfort seats ... blasphemy on a track car!
The comfort seats wouldn’t hold you well around a track. Just lack of lateral support especially around the shoulders.
I also don’t find the sports seats as uncomfortable as people make out.
Anyway ultimately I suppose it’s how you are going to use the car. For me a comfort car would be a non-starter on the 2nd market.

I agree the bucket seats are very firm but I still find them comfortable and a good fit for my small but athletic frame. For short journeys and quick blasts they are perfectly acceptable but for a 3,000 mile cruise across Europe I think I would take the 650S Spider anyway.
Cant imagine the bucket seats would be great for a large, taller and bigger framed, to be polite, person but even so "comfort" seats whether it be in a Huracan Performante or Porsche GT3 would completely put me off the car off if I was buying it second hand.
If I was larger I still think I would rather put up with a bit of discomfort than spec the car wrongly and effect residuals IMHO
It's not the firmness that is the problem (they don't seem any firmer than the Gallardo carbon bucket seats which I find very comfortable), it's the angle of the seat back as it's just so upright. I'm not a midget athlete like you RL, however I'm also not super tall/big framed/overweight or of a high positive/negative ape index.Cant imagine the bucket seats would be great for a large, taller and bigger framed, to be polite, person but even so "comfort" seats whether it be in a Huracan Performante or Porsche GT3 would completely put me off the car off if I was buying it second hand.

It's interesting to see however that based on the demographic here spec'ing the comfort seats would have a hit on residuals. Perhaps putting up with some discomfort is something you/I'd have to live with with the Performante.

I believe the spyder will be rarer than the coupe but I think most people will stick with the coupe just because a coupe makes more sense for a track focused car.
Autocar has an article today that the replacement H will have some sort of electric powertrain so safe to say the NA V10 will only be around for a few more years hence why I think the Perf will not lose value at all and will probably shoot up in value once the replacement is out.
Btw, here are my specs:
Similar thing happened with the Speciale ... they were readily available for order, it was only after production finished and everyone twigged that the replacement was going to be forced induction that prices went stratospheric. I can see that possibly happening here.Autocar has an article today that the replacement H will have some sort of electric powertrain so safe to say the NA V10 will only be around for a few more years hence why I think the Perf will not lose value at all and will probably shoot up in value once the replacement is out.

Exterior Style package looks confused to me, after having a good study of one again at this weekend's Lambo Leicester meet. The side-skirts are gloss, as are the mirrors and front/rear grilles etc, but then the rear diffuser is matte, as are the wheels (if going for centre locks) and the trim around the lights. Its all ends up looking a bit incohesive to me.
Shame, because I like the black exhaust trims.
Some have suggested that gloss PPF will re-create semi-gloss finish on the matt areas. If your going to PPF the car, then maybe style package is wasted money.Shame, because I like the black exhaust trims.
In addition, dealers can do black exhaust trims separately to the style package.
