Good to be back here!

Sold my Huracan over a year ago and sat on the side lines for a bit. I had an itch to scratch the past few weeks. Really wanted to try a 720s but couldn't live with the reliability concerns, tried ever so hard to want a 488 but could not get past the lack of noise.

Ended up doing a really good deal on the white Performante from Joe Macari with 650 miles on the clock - It's my absolute perfect spec!

Glad to be back in Lambo!

Lambos have always treated me well, loved my Huracan, LP560, Gallardo etc... I really did want to try something different but when comparing apples with apples I think Performante's in the 190's are actually quite good value when comparing with the competition in the current market.

I also absolutely love the noise. No need to consider any sort of change in that department which is nice. It's insane.

Congrats

What are they like to do business with? They normally price quite high I thought.

Joe is a character (I live a mile away so pop in occasionally)
I dealt with Franco who was happy to take my extremely low offer and put it to Joe, and we did a deal at quite a lot off the sticker price.

There are 4 or 5 white cars on the market all around the same money, I chose this one as it has everything ticked on spec, has PPF, and only done 650 miles as well.

Car was prepared beautifully, full tank of fuel, still has the boxes of original accessories (cover, charger, number plate holder, a few other boxes of gizmos), and they were happy to take it to Lamborghini London to do a mileage verification for me, as I heard huracans are very easy to clock!

Worth adding that although this has the mag suspension and lift it does NOT have the dynamic steer that my previous Huracan had. I never quite gel'd with the dynamic steering and this car feels amazing without it, so direct and precise. I love it!

Only plan for the car will be to eventually have the wheels done in the bronze colour. But I plan to wait until the black ones at least have picked up some marks as they are too fresh to change right now!

Sounds like the beginnings of a Performante Herts meet up at some point, maybe for a bacon roll or something one morning....

What have you lot done front number plate wise?

On previous cars i've done all sorts, been without, odd sized, stuck on etc...

This car hasn't had the bracket fitted and I'm looking for options for a short(ish) plate on the front...

Out of interest, where did you hear this?

I know that actually, they're pretty much impossible as someone tried to clock theirs and Lambo knew exactly when it was done and what the real mileage was straight away.

That cost him A LOT of money to get back in their good books with regards to warranty etc.
It's very easy to do in the usual way in the main ECU, but there are also mileage checks in the gearbox and a couple of other places, so yes Lamborghini can plug in and tell almost right away, but the average punter from a non-Lambo dealer, or privately may get stung by this at least until its next service when they will find out.

Hence me having mine checked by Lamborghini before completing the sale.

I know of two different people who bought Huracans then found mileage mis-match later on and Lamborghini will then void the warranty.
