Hi everyone, just looking for thoughts on value and future depreciation of this car,

Quick resume, Have just sold my scuderia and 360, as I have a 991RS coming in July. but also thinking of selling my 997 turbo to part fund a gallardo,

I have never owned a lambo but have always fancied a gallardo,

I sort of know prices, depreciation, running cost etc, on Ferrari and Porsche, but lambo is a new venture,

The market for selling i think is low, certainly prices of ferraris and porsche (in general - not all) have dropped over the last two years,

My 360 and scuderia sold for probably 10 Percent less than they would of two years ago,

This car looks nice, low owners, low mileage but a big gap in history from 2014 to 2018, and I am guessing but the white seats may not be to everyones taste.

Interested to know peoples thoughts on what is worth, 2009 LP560 white with 6k miles 1 owner, they are looking for 100K and also for those crystal ball gazers, what do you think depreciation will be over the next 2 to 3 years.

What would should i offer on it, (also looking at a manual spyder 2007 at VVS) and a Black (wrapped orange LP560 at top gear cars), plan to see them all before making a decision.

Looks like you aren't bothered about whether it is a gen1 or gen2 Gallardo. You haven't considered one of the special editions, which may fair better with depreciation?
not overly bothered tbh, hen one looks better in my eyes, the rear in particular, but LP will have a better egear shift. A superlegera might be the answer but RHD are generally above what I want to spend, Motorhub has a grey one but miles are high (just under thirty) but not entirely sure they have a great reputation, thanks for the comments, I have asked for the registration so I can see the MOT history, I suspect it was sorned or not used for a few years hence the gap, (I would be surprised if they didnt check the mileage before they bought it, unless its on SOR), but you never know with car dealers,

Around 115k spent for a 2012 car with 11k miles full Lamborghini service history from new with no missing services or recalls etc. (Quite a rare car compared to the LP560's). A buyers market at the moment so haggle hard, you may be surprised how much you can get off.
A word of advice look at as many cars as you can and hopefully you will find an enthusiast car as some of these cars are literally abused and uncared for.

For what it's worth I think the car looks fantastic. I personally like Lambo's in green, orange or yellow, but white (with black wheels) for me just looks right.

I even like the white interior, although it would take some looking after and would probably benefit from a Gtech or similar interior treatment to help protect against stains etc.

I also think the price is a bit rich and it actually annoys me when owners have a total disregard for the servicing schedule, as in this case and clearly (assuming the mileage is correct) the car has spent an awful lot of time standing around.

If the mileage checks out, I'd be keen to also make sure the car has no brake disc rust issues on the inside face and would want to get these warmed up nicely on a test drive to make sure they felt the same when hot and also to check for any tyre balance issues from flat spotting caused by the lack of use.

If all was ok, I'd definitely be looking at the low/mid 90's as a starting point. There has to be a price to pay for the servicing neglect and clearly cars are not flying out of showrooms at the present time.

I think if you got the car and flipped it fairly quickly, you would still have to consider future buyer concerns over the service gaps, but with a longer term ownership at this stage and three or four additional main dealer stamps in the service book, the gaps I suspect will become less of an issue, particularly given the low mileage these occurred at.


all good points, mileage has been checked, I like low mileage cars , less is worn, suspension etc, etc, mechanics tend to be corrosion free, I would aim to keep it (or whatever I buy) 3 years probably. so it would have more annual stamps, but yes it will always cause some concern to new owners. I like the white leather as its a bit different from standard black and my turbo and aston are both black interiors, I have however been offered a 2008 Superleggera, 17k miles, £115k, also in white, no service gaps, which I might take a look at also,

Depreciation wise, its not about affording it, dropping 10 or 20k over three years isnt an issue, its just nice avoid if you can especially as I have a few cars and they all only get used occasionally, so try to aim to avoid large depreciation as it can be a factor when you have a few cars,
