This car has been for sale for over a year it’s price has kept changing from 84k to 89k then 92k then back to 89k and now a jump to 129k ??

What’s that all about? Surely if it wasn’t selling at 84 or 89 no one is going to buy it at 129k

Maybe they’re going to offer 30k off as part of a Covid19 blockbuster sale?

Either that or making their business look more viable by overvaluing stock?
Well they’ve currently added 40k in the last 48hrs

As I said it never sold before if anything I’d have expected it to go down!

You see other similar at 60-70k

They love their lambos in America though I saw loads in Florida,

The fact this car never sold in this country when it was mid 80s says a lot in my opinion

£130k for a bog standard Gen 1 Gallardo is having an enormous giraffe. 85k is pretty high, IMO. You are in SL1 territory at 80-90k.
Yep and there’s lots of other nicer cars at that price point

I think it’s one of the best looking Gallardos I’ve seen if I’m honest just happened to be watching it for the past year amongst a few other cars

Firstly, click-clack mated to a naturally aspirated 5.0L V10 - what is not to like?

As for the "bog standard" comment, this car has the classic clean lines of the coupe with the correct Callisto wheels: no soft top, no pre-historic e-gear system, no stripes, no spoilers. The original poster on-the-wall for many - admittedly this would have probably been Aranchio (orange).

The CATS came out clean, and swapped with Larini Sports CATS, and now the engine will be pretty much bullet-proof.. no ceramic bits in this engine. The car is serviced with one of the best oils on the market, Millers NT+ 10W50. Good luck buying your £60-£70k e-gear with 40k miles on the clock, with original CATS and serviced with a Mobil 1 5W30 all its life.

There are a few more 6-speed manual coupes pre-2006, which if you want to travel in 1st gear all day long, again good luck with that. As for the post-2006 manual coupes, you could probably count the number on one hand in the UK.

Price may be high for some, but it will get there, and in the mean time I will be enjoying it.

But also you’ve also got to remember this car as nice as it is and looked after has been for sale for over a year, it’s swapped between mid 80s to 90s to 129 then to 97k now the market was in a lot better shape a year ago and it wasn’t selling, which means it was priced too high, and now with coronavirus affecting cars it still probably won’t sell at that price!

If it’s still for sale in a year or 2s time when I’ve cleared my mortgage I’d have it but I suspect it won’t be

Edit: just read the last bit and notice it looks like it’s your car,

How long has it been for sale as I’ve been watching it over 12 months

Least it’s not 5 consecutive years though and it has had servicing,

Albeit personally I’d want full service

I'm considering selling my LP550-2 manual and, even though it is rare and immaculate, I'm going to have to accept a lot less than the c. £150k+ they were being advertised for a year or so ago (advertised not necessarily selling for that price). Anyhow, I'm sure someday they will go for that kind of money, so I'm undecided....
Keep it!

How much in all honesty is it worth?

Hi Ghost83

I watched with some amusement at your criticisms and comments on my pricing. It was however nice to know someone was taking such a keen interest.

I did need to wait quite a while for the right buyer to come along, and wasn't willing to let it go for less than what I felt it was worth.

The car sold this morning, and I wish the new owner the best, and as it is no longer a car I am selling, I can say with some honesty, that the car in that spec is as rare as hen's teeth. It is anything but a bog standard Gallardo - it is a manual, coupe, right year, right colour, right wheels.

Next in line is the Arancio LP550-2 on autotrader. What do you think of pricing on that? I think it is worth every penny.

All the best

Well done with the sale if it was around the 119k my question is though why wouldn’t it sell around the mid 80s it was advertised for then the mid 90s

Imo someone’s had their trousers down! So well done to you and well not very good for somebody who’s shelled out a lot more than it was originally advertised for

I still don’t understand why someone would pay over 100k for it when it was advertised in the 80s only a few months ago
