Just browsing ph on the laptop and while I was reading the topics in SP&L it loaded up a fake macaffe warning, then switched to some other crap about windows defender and finally settled on an fbi warning.

It only visits a couple of sites and this is the only one I'm having trouble with. its done it a few times over a few days and I suspect you have one of your st adverts from the bottom of the page leaching dross.

this site is a fking joke, tons of adverts, unstable UI and stupid design mistakes, it looks shabby.

Sort it out.

You still have the problem, its getting worse.

Its just popped up in the classic cars left to rot thread, reading a reply and the screen goes blank, the damn thing re-directs and after going through a few dodgy looking domains settles on a warning that I have a virus.

Sort it out guys, its dong this across multiple PCs whenever I am logged on.

Oh, and I keep getting logged off all the time despite clicking the remember me thing, I go to a US based Camaro forum maybe 6 or 7 times a year and never have to log into that, you are way bigger and have way more "admin" yet still seem unable to do anything about any of the user problems.

They can 9.4 as much as they like but the crap adverts are still here, the fake warnings are popping up all over and any scans I do on any of the machines I have here come back clean.

They have something that is bunging the pages up hoping that the less experienced will click on the link or button in the page and activate the virus.

Each time its come up I have exited via the task manager so I don't interact with it at all, I don't even trust the red X to get rid.

Thank you Ben.

Its eased off the last few days and I have only seen it once on my laptop and not at all at work.

Hopefully the "products team" have not just shrugged and said, yeah, we know...

This is now being investigated and will hopefully be resolved very soon. The issue is with one of our advertisers, so as soon as we know who it is, it'll be switched off.
Tell the bosses to stop being greedy and get rid of all of the low quality ads you lot have allowed on the site in recent months, I strongly suspect once the spammy click-baity pig swill ste at the bottom of the page goes your problem will be history.

I have not seen it for a few days, I even left PH on the screen for a few hours last night and when I came back PH was still there.

This is an improvement....

This is a disgrace.

User's shouldn't have to resort to their own blocking software - PH should be in FULL control of the advertising on their site.
They're not, not even slightly.

What has happened is they have sold a slice of space to an advertiser, the advertiser turns out to have filled the space with crap and that crap is leaking. PH cant wriggle out of the contract and has little to no control over that bit of the website because they sold it.

Now they have to ask the bad man nicely to please stop his adverts leaking. The man is uninterested in doing so.

Reading the topic on planning permission complaint letter redaction and got redirected on a veritable rollercoaster that ended up settling on "windows defender" and "77 problems with your pc"

So, its still got the problem PH, one of your ads is still leaking dross.

Back with a vengeance, this morning redirects are coming from "gap5861" or something, its a "your windows 7 pc is infected with 3 viruses, we will delete everything soon unless you click here"

So, its still alive, the antibiotics didn't work.

I was browsing the brexit dark money thread when it first happened, its now random even if Im between forums.

And outbrain is still at the bottom of the page with its low rent low intelligence clickbait, dragging the site down and making it look cheap.

The two are related, you know, the redirects and the outbrain.

Everyone will put up with a few adverts, what you have is damaging your brand by being st and making users suspicious. Coupled with the ongoing problems reported in my original post many months ago (just after outbrain appeared) and you can see why people are complaining.

Just out of interest, what are your site traffic stats looking like since outbrain arrived ? I bet its down.

Forum: Classic Minis

Topic: A mad bad mini project,

Redirect: "someadmedia.com"

Nipped it in the bud before it loaded or did a merry go round of other sites. I now keep task manager open when i'm on PH so I can close IE instantly when the redirects happen.

My history gets cleared, my cookies and all the other maintenance you do to a 10+ year old computer to keep it alive.

I know many will say I should use a different browser and an adblocker, get a new laptop and lots of other suggestions but this laptop only visits a few motoring related forums and none of the others are raddled with this pox.

Rods and sods, the various Camaro forums, the Opel Manta forum to name a few.

SORT IT OUT. this its an old topic now.

None have this problem, only the mighty PH has got this crap.

Its an absolute stshow.

The solution seems to be pretty much the IT equivalent of having a recurring serious std that the doctor keeps prescribing homeopathic cream for.

I'm not sure if this is related or not, but recently I've been getting a lot of issues where PH just changes (without me clicking anything) to a site that my anti-virus blocks straight away.

Latest one (10 minutes ago) was from eaypyybe.win
This is exactly what has been happening since I started this thread all those months ago.

The site it takes you to varies, it can go through several before setting on one. I have had all sorts of different ste !
