Which Diablo?

I'm looking for a Diablo and my current thinking is an early 2WD. I like the idea of 2WD .. weight and driver experience. Also the purity of the early ones.

What do others think?

Thanks George 500 that makes logical sense to me. Not sure what the shipping/ duty would be. I would also need to buy it unseen and arrange an inspection etc so not straight forward. It doesn't bother me it being LHD. Its more about the history and quality of the car. Also having some choice. Cost as well of course.

Thanks George ... for me it has to be the 2wd. The only thing I don't like from the early cars is that high instrument binnacle .. I could live with it I'm sure

They are asking £199k which seems a bit of a steep starting point

That's a fair point on the Muira but are we really ever going to see those levels of increases again. I think the diablo has the most potential for increases.

I would definitely give Mike Pullen a ring (Carrera Sport - he is more a mechanic than dealer but is well connected and knows most UK cars) and also Carlo at Top Gear Specialist cars. The former looks after mine and I bought mine from the latter. Both are extremely knowledgeable. To this I would add that Dave at Pangbourne, as recommended by Ferrucio, also gets a lot of positive votes (although I don’t have any personal experience with him)

These are rare cars (especially in the UK) if there is one for sale those three will either know of it or be able to help

Why hasn't it sold? If I bought one how easily would it be to move it on at the right price? and what is the right price, with so few its difficult to tell
