the best all-round supercar ever.
off to Spa in mine again April. will waft there in comfort with the music blasting then, once at the track, turn the dials and drive a car that actually works on track. just stunning in every way.
13k miles so far and i should hit 20k before the year is out..
I agree, having tried manual, flipping eck, wow, supercar indeed, and back to "normal" if you can call it that, back to everyday use.off to Spa in mine again April. will waft there in comfort with the music blasting then, once at the track, turn the dials and drive a car that actually works on track. just stunning in every way.

One week in and wow.
I am a shrinking violet and hate all the attention I am getting, well the car anyway
Thumbs up everywhere, people stopping to let me out at junctions, cars diving out of the way to let me past, people driving behind me with cameras etc.
Loving every second, and add to that the sheer driveability, and then hit the loud button, set to manual, flipping eck, this is by far the best I have ever owned or been in, and I have been in some nice kit.
McLaren, British design and British made.
Someone said to me yesterday that its the thinking mans supercar, well, I do not profess to be a thinking man, but thanks for the compliment

It always amazes me how many people don't know what it is. Lamborghini is a regular question because of it's doors. You'd think that somebody
who knows Lambo's have lift up doors, would know an 12C isn't one... It is cool though when you answer "No, it's a Mclaren" :-)
It's without doubt the quickest thing I've ever owned, the scary thing is how easily it does it, whilst remaining extremely comfortable to drive!
Have you played with launch control yet?
Not tried launch yet, that's to come. So far when flooring it I can't get past 3rd, it is light speed, it's like someone is throwing scenery at you. Love it. who knows Lambo's have lift up doors, would know an 12C isn't one... It is cool though when you answer "No, it's a Mclaren" :-)

Just re-read my reply which I think sounded harsh and that wasn't the intention.
My reasoning was that I used to say that as a reply to people about cars I've had until one day a guy said NEVER SAY THAT and I asked why.
He went on to ask me if it was luck or because I won the lottery or because I aspired, worked and then saved for it, to which I replied the latter.
Truth is, its easy for people to say its luck but thats a huge rarity, things like these usually come from hard work and the willingness to have things you only dreamed of as a child.

Actually, not lucky in the way people think, I am lucky with Wallet Watcher, she fully supports everything I do, which entails lots of petrol type events, racing, more racing and then I go after this. She is unbelievably understanding, I'm a lucky boy in that respect.
