What is best for 10,000 miles plus per year?

This is a classic value versus mileage dilemma. Knowing it will get used, do I go for a 540/570 or an older 12c? There is something appealing about the original model (with appropriate upgrades) and I wondered if it would be a less mileage sensitive financial proposition over say 2 years and 20,000 miles.

Thanks for the feedback. The 12c does seem to make most sense.
