720S Should I or shouldn't I?

I currently have a 12C Spider which I have owned for over 2 years and really love it and have put 11,000 miles on it in that time. I did intend to keep this car for some time. I also have a Porsche 964RS NGT which I have owned for 3 years but have done less than 1000 miles in it.

Would I be mad getting rid of both of these cars and getting a 720S? I have tentatively been given a build slot for next January.

Thoughts?

Good point about depreciation and that is a pretty big hit regardless of anyone's financial position.

When I first saw pictures of the 720 I was critical of it and said that I thought the proportions looked wrong. However whilst dropping the12C in for service at Ascot recently they had a couple there. I thought it looked stunning, and dare I say it, made the 12C look quite outdated.

Will hopefully take one out for a test drive in the next week or so and see where it goes from there.

Sarnie, I had the same thoughts regards the 570 when it came out but it is really growing on me. Maybe I should have a look at the 570 Spider and keep the Porsche.

As for different marques, I understand that but I have never really wanted to own an Italian. I have had numerous Porsches over the years and although sometimes tempted by the newer GT cars I can't see myself going there.

I think I will be spending a fair bit of time on the McLaren configurator this weekend.
