Trying to decide..
Discussion
Hello all,
Without trying to start another ‘what car’ thread... I’m going to start one..
I’ve had a DB11 since January, nice car but doesn’t massively excite - bought as a bit of a compromise and something that I could turn up to clients in without raising too many eyebrows.

However, thinking about getting something a bit more exciting.
Either a 458, 488, Huracan or 570S - have seen a really nice 570 spider which looks great, but just can’t decide between them.
What does the collective wisdom think? Anyone gone from a DB11 to one of the above?

Stunning cars guys - you must spend a lot of time looking back when you get out of them!
I used to have a Ferrari 360 spider - It was an event every time I drove it, I’m looking for the next car to give that buzz! Eg used to drive to the next town to get the papers, in subsequent cars haven’t had that urge.
Don’t think my pic uploaded above - retrying below!

I also came from a couple of Vantages into my 540C. I appreciate the Vantage isn't the same as the DB11, but the McLaren is a completely different car. Could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you want from a car.
Essentially the four cars you are looking at are all pretty similar, and it will come down to personal preference which you prefer.
Not had any issue with the doors either, for me they are part of the attraction the only thing I would say is, it's difficult to know how much space you need to open the door when you are sitting inside. I usually just park in a suitable space where nothing can park next to the driver side. With a usual opening door it's easy to see how far open it is, but with the McLaren doors, I don't find it as easy to judge how far out they are reaching as they go up
Thanks Justin - really helpful, the doors have been a concern for everyday use. Essentially the four cars you are looking at are all pretty similar, and it will come down to personal preference which you prefer.

Congratulations you can’t beat a Spider, I had a coupe first, but the spider is so much more of an event to drive either wither the roof down or just dropping the back window you can actually hear the exhaust barking all the way to it’s 8k red line !! Enjoy
Thanks Tyrell - Haven’t driven above 5k revs yet, looking forward to hearing the engine. How often do you find you have to use the nose lift?
