Well, a bit of entertainment for you.
Who can tell me what's underneath this badge and why?

Do you see that strange black tape underneath?

It's not a joke. There is something wrong I don't get.

Exactly, same thoughts.

What if I told you that car is supposed to be brand new from factory according to the dealer?

Look at the cuts on edges, looks to me wrapping taken out once badge was in

Has anybody seen anything similar on new cars? I would appreciate if you can ask owners on the facebook page.

Yes was wrapped in black, confirmed, but I am told badge clips from behind, not glued....cmon guys, have you got a McLaren or dreaming of owning an aircraft?

Or are you seriously thinking an OEM would put some tape to stick a badge on a car? Maybe only a stupid and bad dealer would do that. Not even, it would have been too stupid.

Thank you, that is a 650S.

Porsche badge is clipped/screwed, I was based on that.

Unless there is an hole underneath the bar code sticker (if I see it right...), you're right. That's the reason I opened this thread and asked for help, finally some facts!

Then an other lie from the same circus of people which I don't want to disclose yet.

Just want to say, gents be careful where you put your money in Macca, I am seeing things which are scaaaaary.

Very intrigued by this...

Please keep up posted and disclose when you are able (which begs the question... what is actually stopping you?)
Yes I'll do in due course.
I don't want the dealer to find out I am writing here about something that is still under discussion with him, not fair to him.
And because it's something borderline for an official dealer, it's not a nice thing to write.

Moreover, if they behave in a good way, the story may have an happy end. I want to give them a chance.

I am happy if they read.

I am ok with what I've written so far, no more than what I've told them.

Happy New Year all!

Well, at the end didn’t bought the car, and it appears it has disappeared from websites.

It was a white track pack 570S.

History (horror):

Car sat for 1 year at an official dealer before being moved, later last year, to an other official dealer.

Car was originally wrapped with a mclaren livery.

Car had its original corsas and 10 spoke forged lightweight wheels swapped for std pirellis and 10 spoke black wheels

Second official dealer was trying to sell the car telling it was a 2018 brand new from factory car.

Lots of marks and scratches inside, likely due to being sat for one year at the first dealer.

Li On battery flat at my first visit to the (second) dealer.

Once I spotted the hidden wrap under the badge, all the lies started to unfolds....

...Courtesy of an official McLaren dealer.

Scary insn’t it? 🙏🏻
