Hi guys, just curious on some thoughts to the below:

Warranties, any preference between Mclaren & Thorney?

Track pack, is it worth it, they seem rarer to find?

Is buying through the dealer network advised?

Thanks for the replies and pm's gents.

There was a nice volcano yellow with the track pack the other week but the advert has now gone.

If anyone is selling something suitable, not necessarily a track pack, please get in touch.

McLaren Hatfield have a really high spec blue one for sale and it would include a years warranty...I'd be all over that if I didn't have one already!
Yes i did notice that one, perfect spec (apart from track pack which isnt a deal breaker), just not sure on the Vega blue, have my heart set on the colours mentioned above.

Thanks Gunso, preferably looking for:

Venturi Orange
Papaya Spark
Volcano Yellow

or one of the light blues which there seem to be few of.

Jumping back to warranties, i have just been told by an independant with a car i am viewing with a Mclaren warranty, that is trasferable by the old owner to new, is this correct, i thought the warranty was with the car, not the owner?

A dealer could refuse the warranty if they knew that a dealer had sold the car and not an individual.

If buying from an individual you need to have a certain amount of time left on the warranty, 3 months I think. Then apply to have the warranty transferred using a document.
Thanks GT Two, very helpful
