Hi all,

Incredibly excited and still in shock that I have put a deposit down on my first "supercar". The reason for the inverted commas is because its a 570S, a sports series car. To me, this is a supercar, I don't want an argument about it haha. My goal was a supercar by the time I'm 30 and I cant actually believe I'm ticking it off.

Just sold my PTS 981 Cayman GT4 and will be picking up this ventura orange 570S within the next couple of weeks all being well. Got what I think is a good deal considering spec and mileage is exactly what I wanted. Negotiated on the price because the Mclaren warranty is up next month and I do want to extend it.

If anyone knows of the car, any info would be great. Original reg is: RV16 OBG. VIN IS: SBM13DAC9GW000511 again if anyone can share FULL spec that would be great!

and the car it replaces, as you can see, I like bright colours!

Congrats looks great! It'll be a big step up in outright performance over the Gt4 and you better get used to lots of attention...all positive in my experience too! Warranty is a wise move but the good thing is it's v comprehensive...enjoy!
Yeah i've driven one before, feels very similar to the GT4 but with 200 more horsepower haha! Quite the difference!

looking good. When will you find out when you can get the car?

I guess you didn't buy the Ferrari then?

Im currently out of the country on business. My car gets collected the weekend I'm back, then the next week I'm going to get over and collect.

Nope, couldn't fit my fat feet on the pedals!!! Every time i went for the throttle I ended up hitting the brake. Really put me off.

Congrats, Nice upgrade and whereas a Porsche is a sports car the sport series 570S is a Supercar for sure. Night and day difference and a step up you wont regret.

Ventura orange is to die for in the sun, my favorite colour
Funnily enough the owner came from a GT4 too and said the same. Cannot wait.

Yeah I haven't actually physically seen the car in person, spec was perfect for me so had to pull the trigger in person. I can imagine it looks incredible in the sun! Lets hope we get some this year.

Beautiful, lovely colour, welcome to the McLaren club!

If you call a McLaren dealer and give them the VIN they will email you over the spec sheet for the car.
Will do, thank you!

Lovely car! I miss mine. Be careful with only 1 month of warranty left. As far as I know (how it used to be) is that it is attached to the individual, and doesn't transfer with the car. Further, they used to only allow transfers of warranty when there was 3+ months of warranty remaining. Depending on extent of recent use, you might want to delay that shakedown drive until you are 100% that you have a valid warranty in your name on the thing.
Thanks for this mate. Have messaged the owner regarding this. You can transfer to a new owner for fee, which he is covering. However he is checking on the time frame with mclaren. Cheers

Congrats on the McLaren! Definitely a supercar in my eyes at least.

You weren't the chap I bumped into at the Starbucks in York a few months ago were you? We exchanged admiration for your GT4 and my Megane RS in the queue! I remember the colour and there can't be many about!
Haha yep that was me!! Definitely wouldn’t of been another! Recently moved out of the are, but yes I do remember that well!

Hey all. Thanks for all the info and concerns. Have found out from McLaren that correct, you cannot transfer warranty over within 3 months of ending. The current owner has now extended it for the next year and we will then transfer over when I collect. Some panels have already been replaced under warranty fortunately smile

Well, to update this thread… I picked the car up 10 days ago and have already put a faultless 1000 miles on it. This thing is addictive. What an amazing car.

Also got very lucky with a private plate, CC are my initials.

6th year service is coming up soon… any idea on cost? Have been told a minor service is around £800-£1000, and a major around £1500.
