I've been down a rabbit hole after a bottle of red last night. Stumbeld across this.

https://www.warfordcarsltd.co.uk/details/used-car-...

seems amazing spec, however for sale for over 6 months..... why? soft 720 market? wrong spec? wrong price?

What are you looking for as a priority? There are 35 odd cars on AT at the moment at that price or better.
spec and colour 2019 onwards with a good spec.

Its easy to say there's a better price, just low spec.

There is a track pack Papaya spark one at Watford Cars and a Volcano red one at Mclaren Birmingham, both imo much nicer.
So the one I linked to and one without a track pack?

The car you linked has the trackpack.

IMHO the car you linked is a good buy at £140k flat.
Its a SOR car, dispite it being listed since July, they'd only offer £3k off!

The 720 at Warford cars was mine previously and whilst it doesn't actually have a trackpack, it does have pretty much all of the options included in a trackpack aside of the carbon rear wing. I sold the car a couple of years ago and am guessing the current owner is now moving it on. It was a replacement car supplied by McLaren through a main dealer after I suffered significant problems with a previous 720, so it was very well sorted for that reason, I believe it was originally used by Mclaren themselves - I'm happy to input further if required.
Dropped you a PM!

Scott Hardy have a really high spec 720S Spider with buckets for £10k more than that one albeit higher miles at 20k…I bought my 600 from them sound guys to deal with. They’ve also had that car a while so could prob be had for mid £150s I’d have thought . First listed for £179k in Sep fyi.

I don’t like the carbon bonnet 😂

I’ve spoke to the guy that owns it(SOR), he’s firm on the price.

Is the carbon bonnet a factory option?
No idea but it spoils the looks

Yeah I think they are just so much car for the money that they do find a bottom and sit, probably applies to all McLaren models unless the mileage is truly galactic. I doubt the 720s will ever be a sub £100k car.
There's a few at £120k, which from what I can see are 20-30k mile cars and in a 'low' spec.

Problem is it’s takes a few quid to run any McLaren if you want warranty etc …tax, insurance and warranty for mine is £4500 pa. A 720s would be £6k I’d imagine given higher warranty costs. V engineering and Thorney make it more cost effective especially for older cars but still best not to run them on a shoestring.
I can't see it being any more than my vanquish, warranty is the same cost, so is insurance and service.

Most in that price bracket are also lux spec cars with leather interiors rather than alcantara, they have always been bottom of the market. Great if you dont mind leather mind as they still drive the same.
They won't feel as 'special' to me. I'd like the p1 seats for a greater sense of theatre and drama. Same for having the titanium roll hoop.

Think the V12VS warranty I had was about £1800 but that’s going back a few yrs , is the Vanquish more expensive? 720S is £3500 if under 5 yrs and £4700 if over 5 yo I believe.
£23-2500.

If you were after buckets and rolcage then this looks like a good buy.

I had a quick look at that orange car at Manchester and was quite interested but for me I thought if I put another 10-15k miles on it it would be getting on a bit and the 720 probably is only staying for a few years. Although I bloody love it, so maybe not.

I found Manchester nice and easy to deal with and was very happy with my purchase and the process.
Such a dull colour inside and out. its likely 10-20K away from selling.

was the first owner of sorts, it was in 2020 when Mclaren were registering cars putting a handful of miles on them so they could sell on at a discount, as far as the log book is concerned i'm the second owner but it had i think 140 miles on it.
Track pack was the seats the roll cage and the telemetry/cameras, most of the ones Mclaren specc'ed in that era didn't come with the carbon rear wing as they had supply issues, hence mine came with a painted rear wing but they still had it as a track pack, and yeah shame about the seats but then I didn't want it as a track car, and the P1 seats are not good if you aren't skinny! I know that one has never been tracked as I sold it to a friend who has looked after it. the track pack is the same exact car with a few bolt on bits, there are no performance or handling changes, because Mclaren had specced mine it came with every bit of Carbon going! I only sold it because I stupidly test drove the 720s Spider and decided i needed one....
did you take the seats out?

Obviously got higher standards for Fish and Chips than they do for cars.

Perhaps it was wrapped by someone with Covid, I gather loss of taste was a symptom.
best fish and chips anywhere.

Worse looking 720s anywhere.

I wish there was a 'like' button.

nice Mac dealer car, £125k

I'd like a 'performance'. however this is nice for the cash from a main dealer.

Proof, once again, that money doesn’t always = taste.
I don't mind that colour interior, its popular on ferrari's etc.

short gear paddles stand out though, can you retro fit longer ones?
