I'd say some cars are better than the not quite so good.
What would you say makes a good car - spec, condition?

I've just bought a 650s spider. Looking everything for sale, this is the only other that's sensible.

a lovely car i've seen in the flesh. some of the thorney ones are expensive and 'low' spec without carbon.

however at circa £90k a 650s must be the best buy out there for the money?
He’s just put the price up on that one compared with the one you bought

Not true, they are sale or return unless they are their own.
Is this not just the fixed fee for his sale or return service? You can see what happens, sellers put this cost on to the sale price and then some, making the Thorney cars all about 10k over

How much extra value do you reckon carbon options add to these cars?

Agree each to their own. Another advantage of McLaren spiders is being able to see the engine which is no longer the case on contemporary Italian spiders. Ideally I would have an Italian coupe - think they’re still better at presenting the engine - and Mac spider. So far, I have half this dream but the other half will take a while!

Correction - I think you can see the engine on an SF90 spider as social media has suspiciously just shown me a video of one.

Storm Grey is an awesome colour, needs to be seen in the metal (I may be biased). The bright colours are cool but not for everyone, Volcano Red treads a nice middle ground I would say.
