Anyone ' in the know ' that can give me a rough idea as to when the model 3 will be available to the mainstream in the UK ?

doesn't seem to be much info out there other than '2019' but that isn't uk specific...

when you get out from the PHEVs, and the leaf's all you're really left with is the i3 and we already have one of those, fancy a change for the 2nd car and the model S&X are a little too rich for me..

Looked into importing a Chevvy Volt or Bolt? Hyundai Kona EV? Ioniq EV? Kia Soul EV?

Thought it was still 18 months for a Model 3 if you put your money down now.

Going to FoS tomorrow and there's one there so going to be having a good old gawp at it!

Am in the same situation as you, my 330e goes back shortly, just had 3 days in a leaf and 3 days in an i3. Tried a Volvo XC60 T8 phev, the 530e and the Merc C350e too. I think I'll be going for a 2 year stint in an i3 with a view of then getting a Model 3.
Was looking for something at least half 'premium' laugh - how did you find the 330e ?

Performance Model 3 now has EPA rating!!! So customer cars must be only days away from delivery.

Potential 480bhp, 700kg less weight than our X, same price as a base S, 300 miles of EPA range.......if I cannot convince my wife to order the perfomance version am going to chop in the X for one, yes the X had lots of space for passengers but life is about compromises and the inlaws can drive themsleves on family day trips smile.

Just seen on another thread that the govt is cutting the grant to £3500 next month.

This, is another nail in the coffin for me on the Model 3, along with the recent price rises in the US means the car I am likely to want will be far to expensive now.

I might hang in with my deposit to get a test drive, but 95% sure I will cancel now.
they've knocked a grand off the grant... surely that isn't enough to tip it?
