Don't want to put links but it's easy to find, this is a crazy price for the performance/spec of this car, nothing even comes close to this! £400 down, no other deposit! 18month lease.

I don't think this offer will last long but wanted everyone to know about it - it's cheaper than a Kona etc.

It's not a misprint, people have ordered. I am trying to do man maths to get one.

How is this price even possible, it's a £70k car, 0-60 in 4 seconds, 90kwh battery!! Less than half the price of a Tesla!

Hey pal, most of the dealers seem to have it eg: https://www.fleetprices.co.uk/personal-lease-cars/...

But we're talking about the deals here: https://www.speakev.com/threads/is-this-is-great-i...

Hope that's ok to post mods.

It is perfect second car territory, or even weekend toy with the iPace performance but crazy cheap to run.

Apparently this deal is almost entirely sold out, I guess it will be popular within the congestion zone. I'd not be surprised if it's gone by tomorrow night from what the dealers are saying.

Quite a lot of people over on speakEV have been saying how small it actually is, it isn't big like the Tesla modelS at all.

But for £400 a month the performance, running costs and spec is amazing. I am right on the edge of buying one.

People who can't afford to buy cars outright can't really grumble about ''poverty spec'' to be fair... beggars (and credit junkie paupers) can't be choosers.
It would be crazy to pay cash for this car when this mad deal is available. Like I can't see how paying cash could possibly make sense here at all.

Jag will be losing money on this, but I guess they figure putting a few thousand of these on the road and getting people (us) talking about it is worth it in the long run.

Miles Roberts (a dealer) over on speakEV just posted this: 'the service interval is 21k miles, and costs £150. So I didn't bother with maintenance on the contract....'.

Just so none of you pay extra for it!

Fingers crossed once they start delivering all these they will have done a few software updates and it will be a better car already with more options added a la Tesla.

And on top of that, because it's electric, it's cheap as chips to run for that time too - and if you live in London no congestion charge, some other cities free parking, charging etc.

How are they only aimed at the rich? My sister, a barber, pays £200/month for her top end Leaf30 Tekna. She gets free parking and charging and free tax.

People on here have got the iPace (!) for £400/month.

How many miles is your sister driving? The Leaf30 Tekna has a list of over £27k, after grants; a Note starts at £10k. A Fiesta £15k
She gets 8000miles/year for that. It has worked out far cheaper than running a normal similar sized car. Parking alone in the city centre is almost £160/month for an ICE permit.

She also has no issues doing a run to Leeds/Whitby in it due to the pretty decent charging network we have up here.

Interestingly one of the big sales points for her was the ability to warm the car up before she got in it.

It would be really nice if we didn't have to subsidise the oil industry for much longer.

I don't know why I'm trying this again but very few people are buying these cars, they are leasing them and you can get EVs from £200/month. That works for a lot of people, huge savings.

You should certainly wait as a couple of the £400 dealers have said the deal might be back in the coming months.

So someone on Speak EV was contacted yesterday and told this deal was a huge mistake and has had his order cancelled. Hmm.

Theses iPaces sounds about as reliable as our Tesla!!

Why cannot any of these 'premium' car brands just make cars that work like Hyundai/Kia/Nissan can??
They are using tried and tested parts probably from other much older electric motor based industry they likely already have major links with, that stuff is probably industrial thus bullet proof designs - but not blistering fast.

Tesla, Jag etc. are making super powerful motors from scratch with no track record would be my guess - you get your 0-60 in 3 seconds but it's still got to go through that long term test phase of trial and error, Tesla seem to have caught up fast after their initial regular motor fails.
