I've sat in a ZS. Obviously it's fairly basic, but it didn't feel nasty. If they can get the price right, this could be a big hit.

What do we think values on a 2 year old one of these will fall to? 10-12k?
I expect residuals on EVs to remain strong for the next few years as the market grows. No real reason why this should buck the trend.

A sub-£25k EV with 160ish miles of range, looks pretty decent inside, and doesn't look like it was designed by Homer Simpson outside. Makes the pricing of that Honda look positively avaricious.

I can only think its the desperation of people trying to get into EVs, but this thing is surely the very thing anti EV trolls have been going on about since the start of EVs.........A soulless box on wheels.
They're are plenty of interesting, fast EVs. All of them are disgustingly expensive. This is the way we get mass adoption of EVs. I hope MG sell loads of them.

Got to hand it to them, the design is inoffensive and the price is right.
7 year warranty as standard.
Think that's just the battery warranty, not the whole car.

Seems like a pretty good warranty then. If you keep the car 5 years, the fuel saving will pay for itself. Even if you don't, EVs currently enjoy strong residuals. I reckon it's worth paying the bit extra.

redcard This is a MG eZS thread. Please take the Tesla discussion elsewhere.
It's semi-relevant, as people are questioning the safety of the MG. Like others, I think this is unlikely to be a big problem. The days of cardboard Chinese cars (at least the ones they export) are gone.

It'd be interesting to see the objective differences between 2019 five-star, 2019 three-star, and 2014 five-star cars.
