Have just set the ball rolling to get a charger installed for EV arriving at end of year.

Specifically I would be interested to get recommendations for installers that would work in Inverness area.

Have just received my first quote from a Scottish company Jorro for what I think is a standard installation of an EO mini pro 7.2kw unit for £1270 less the various grants (total £800). Still seems very expensive and this is backed up by another quote from same company to change the type 1 cable I have at another property for a type 2 and that comes to £430.

The full install might be expensive because of where it is but the cable change is central Scotland.

So would be interested to hear anyone who has used eg podpoint or charge master or others outwith the central belt .

I think the main install will be “standard” albeit the charger will go on garage wall.

The supply to the garage comes off the main consumer unit on a circuit marked as 40 A capacity. In the garage there is a small consumer unit feeding lights, sockets, wall heaters. I really don’t mind disconnecting everything but the lights if necessary as the heaters/sockets are never used.

Grateful for any advice.
