Anyone getting one? They look amazing IMO. I put down a £250 deposit last week, just before they hiked the price by almost £3k! Getting a V2 58kWh 204ps in white.
No release date as yet, apparently they have an issue with a wiring loom produced in Ukraine, so Cupra are trying to get made elsewhere. Could be anything from a couple of months to a year!

I would be looking to see how those figures compare with an ID3 and other similar cars.
I like the look of the Born, won't be touching anything from VW until they sort out their infortainment though. Can't wait to be rid of my Cupra.
Why what’s wrong with your Cupra? I like the look of the Born, won't be touching anything from VW until they sort out their infortainment though. Can't wait to be rid of my Cupra.
And yeah I wouldn’t touch an ID3 with that infotainment system. Plus I think they’re overpriced when compared to other car specs

My wife's got one on order - I'm salary sacrificing for her. V2 Aurora Blue, with the cargo pack so you get the adjustable boot floor.
Est delivery mid-Nov according to the dealer... we'll see!
Nice………I did consider that colour too. I didn’t add any options as the dealer said it would likely push lead times into 2023. Est delivery mid-Nov according to the dealer... we'll see!

What about the handling? I've seen people relax the traction control and get wheelspin and small tailslides before the traction control cuts back in! Have any of you guys experienced this?
Given that the only cars available in the uk are test drives (mine was accompanied) I doubt many have tried lol.I've been told by the dealer that the factory in Ukraine is open and working again, so this wiring loom might not be far off now!
For me it’s a great car, yes the screen is laggy and yes there are far too many annoying ‘driver aids’ which you can’t turn off permanently.
But it’s 58kwh and easily gets 220 miles across a week of short journeys (ie not in one trip) which beats my 75kwh Tesla model s.
It’s nice to drive, ok not the fastest car in the world, but I would definitely recommend one
