Got the FIA to thank for this. At least it is rather far upfront so plenty of time to change your work/holiday schedules!

A word of warning to all heterosexual PH blokes out there:
ALWAYS use a condom through all of October & early November.
This way avoids the emotional blackmail come LM24 time.
Trust me. I found out the hard way.
( Ironic puns intended! )

Surely you mean August, September and October? Nine months later you then have May, June and July.ALWAYS use a condom through all of October & early November.

Better to practice abstinence the latter part of the summer and whole of the autumn to be sure?

If there was actually any logic to that statement, you would be correct. Thankfully there isn't.
There ISN'T and NEVER HAS BEEN a standard date for the Le Mans 24 hour race. Come on people, it's not even always in the same MONTH! (the race start was in May for both the inaugural 1923 and 1986 races).
Over the years the it's always been in the middle of the year, ranging from the 23rd to 26th weeks (1923 and 1968 respectively).
If you look at the actual numbers the spread is:
Week 21 - 1 race (1.23%)
Week 22 - 1 race (1.23%)
Week 23 - 18 races (22.14%)
Week 24 - 44 races (54.12%)
Week 25 - 15 races (18.45%)
Week 26 - 2 races (2.46%)
Yes, more races have started in the 24th week of the year but almost half of them didn't.
