Hi everyone.

Is there a newbie guide on going to le man?

I've been wanting to go for years but finances and family have always got in the way. This year however I finally have a pass out. It looks like there will be about of 8 of going. So I'm looking for some good advice on where to go and where to stay. I've had a look at a few websites. Beer mountain for example and it seems a bit out of date.

I want to make sure there is a safe camp site and no-one is going to run over my tent whilst I'm asleep in it!

All advice accepted.

Thanks.

Get there as early in the week as you can
This is a worry for me. I was thinking of travelling Wednesday. What does this mean for camp sites? Once you are in I guess you car is in for the weekend?

I'm not apposed to the diy option ive camped at many festivals in my youth is this any different?

When are tickets on sale. I've seen people say that they book the year previous. Other sites say October time. As a member of no clubs i guess ill be last in line.

Thanks everýone. Plenty to go at there.

I just want to check a few more things. Firstly drink! Are you allowed to take beer into the campsite or do they force you to buy theirs?

I guess there is some restrictions on beer going into the circuit itself?

I've seen a load of comments about boot searches and security searches but I'm wondering what the official stance is.
