Viewing on the Mulsanne Straight !

Well - title says it all.

Has anyone ever managed to view on the Mulsanne Straight !

I've tried going through the forest - North of Houx camp site but got turned back .. they patrol the fields and have huge flashlights..

Has anyone been successful else where ?

I went to view the night race from the end mulsanne corner - I was disapointed.

You only see them braking from very high speed and don't actually get to see them doing 200+

And the journey back by road was a real night mare..

So many roads closed.. it seemed to take hours.

Got up against the armco the last two years. Oh, and at the classics last year. About 2-300 yds before the Chinese. Still way before the braking area for the chicane. I managed to get some video footage on my little digi-cam. Came out better than expected. Not easy to find and even harder to describe! Makes your ears rattle though.
