Why do dealers hide the reg plate in the classifieds?

They tend to put a business name plate over the original plate, why?
I like to check out what the TAX (RFL) will be for a motor I'm interested in.

That's nice and easy to find things from, you need an approximate month, but there's very little variation between slight increases after the big hikes.
