Am I nuts to think that a Skoda Kodiaq is the ideal family car?

I'm not planning on buying a new one now but in two years. I've got two kids, a wife and a dog and I've got a large collection of bicycles that I transport occasionally.

The youngest child's only 5 months but in two years I can see that I might need to transport the eldest (he'll be 9 by then) and his friends to places. Go on camping trips etc etc.

Currently I've got an m140i and a seat exeo estate. The m140i is on lease and will be going back and I was thinking of having the seat back off my wife and getting a two year old 7 seat kodiaq. Good plan/bad plan??

Its the seven seats that swings it. If somehow the Superb had seven seats I'd get that. My dad has a Superb for private hire work and it's amazing - leg room in the back is incredible and it's really very nice

I think we'd only use the 7 seats when transporting friends kids. So when you were moving stuff they'd be folded down.

I've still not seen one on the roads. Seen loads of the new Discoverys (the full size one), but no Kodiaqs.
