Hi Guys,

Hope you'll had a good weekend.

I saw this Rexton 2.7 TD 4x4 this weekend and now I have got an idea of going for one. Its a 2005 (55 plate) model with nice leather seats and cockpit. Asking price is £1500. I know, If I bought one I would really struggle to sell it but...

My budget is around £2000. I have no intention to use it off road. So compared to Kia Sorento:
. parts easily available?
. known common issues?
. DIY job possible for any home repair?
. anything I used particularly check during the test drive?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks mate,

I've read positive reviews. I also did look on autotrader, they all advertised cheap. By going through the pics and all , the price sounds too good to be true. I think parts could be cheaper than Kia?

Wow good review here as well! Ta

So long as it doesn't break down and unreliable like Jeep Cherokee, Freelander etc and hasn't got any electrical issues...I'll be happy smile

Rexton I'm referring to is a diesel estate....

Estate cars are handy, when it comes to loading buggies etc.

It's an SUV, not an estate. Can't help but think something like a Saab 9-5 estate would be a better all round buy if you don't need to take it off road.
Thanks for you suggestion smile

Yes, I was meant to say 4x4 Estate. I've already got a Pug 407SW, which is a fantastic car. I wanted something high up with good ground clearance. I now have bought a Kia Sorento and it feels lovely to drive.

Thank you very much to you all

Cheers
