Estate xar - finding a balance.

Hello everyone,

So at some point I want to swap my car to a petrol with a little more grunt, currently have a 2004 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI estate, I'm 32 with no points and a minor accident on my record still, if some rough insight on tax cost, insurance cost and maintenance costs on any of the cars listed it'd be very appreciated.

Need a compromise between performance, driving enjoyment, boot space, decent economy for a petrol, lower end spectrum of road tax and insurance, reliable, easy and cheap to repair/service...

All advice welcome!

Been looking at used:

Subaru Legacy of some sort

Skoda Octavia VRS

Audi A4 or A6

Honda Accord

Mitsubishi Galant

Volkswagon Passat

I'm stuck as the driver in me leans toward the legacy but my sensible side is siding with another octavia.
