whats a really really crap car for a 17 yr old?
Discussion
My apprentice is doing his lessons an id like to reward him with a car.
It must be
cheap to insure
cheap to run
look really st
i was thinking along the lines of something like a yugo, but can't seem to find any, or an original skoda, or lada?
He will drive it, and tbh probably find it funny, he's a good lad and doesn't take himself seriously like some of these other youngsters who want a brand new a class.

bloody hell I'm not made of money although it would be good to see him driving that haha was just looking at old astras, they are so so st £500 could buy a real st heap for him. i could always hand paint it pink as well.
Oh yes theres some good shouts in here i particulauy like the brown morris
The daewoo are extra st but the problem is people actually do drive them now so might go un noticed.
The reliant is a bit cliche but oh my how crap are they! I've got visions of me telling them all to meet me somewhere, i come round a corner and roll the thing with this lad id actually be worried he would kill himself, are they that dangerous? i mean they've been about for years so can't be as dangerous as they look can they?

Why get him a really crap car?
Why not get him the best you can for the money you want to spend?
Seems a little to want to buy a 17 year old his first car, but make it deliberately ste. Your first car is an important "rite of passage" moment, well it was for me anyway. The moment you truly feel you've been accepted in the adult world, because you can drive your own car wherever you like. Seems a shame to spoil that with a deliberately ste car, but maybe that's just me.
Trust me he will find it as funny as us Why not get him the best you can for the money you want to spend?

The problem with crap cars is that the insurance is higher because you might not be so careful and more likely to have an collision with another insured driver. Get a good car and you might be more careful so lower premiums.
I'm not sure whether this is a serious or sarcastic post Put it this way, how many 17 year olds make a claim while driving their fiat multipa
