Bit of spare cash at the moment and looking to buy a weekend toy as in an investment that will hopefully go up in value rather than down.

Ive short listed tvr Chimaera which ive had in the past do i want another?
Saab 900 turbo the proper saabs.
Bmw m3
Had a E36 M3 years ago but been looking at the E46 going my the prices of the E30 M3 theres only one way these are going to go,
But witch one to go for E36 or E46 both are around the same price at the moment.

Ive also been thinking of a 996 but these seems to be rising in price faster than a loaf of bread in a hot oven! so may have missed the boat.

What are you ideas on the above cars?

Around 10k to spend could push to 14k for something really nice.

Had a Z4 found it to small inside, also looked at the 3200gt but it would be a right off if it went wrong.

you could get an R171 SLK 55 at the top end of your budget (14k).

What about old English?

MGB
MGB GT
TR6
GT6

never make loads - but then again won't lose either.

What about a Racing Puma?
I already have a 69 MG Roadster smile

Really? £12500.
I have an S2000 for sale at the moment, an 05 with 74k on it and full history. I've been steadily reducing it in price over the last 6 weeks as interest is there but nothing concrete. Began at £10,795 which I thought was optimistically cheeky (but delighted if I got that) and I'm now down to £9245 on Autotrader.
Don't get me wrong its went up in value since I bought it 4 years ago but I may end up keeping it at this rate. Great cars!
I like the look of these but after a test drive found the cabin quite cramped, Smaller than the Z4 i sold for the same reason.

Get an MR2 from the late 90s. Pop-up headlights. These must be due to rise in value.
Ive had 5 of these over the years and would say £ for £ the best car you can have for the money. Trouble is now the rust!
