Right, something that gets covered on a daily here but I'm geniuenly shocked with insurance costs and how seriously badly the whole system is managed. I'm nearly 22 years old, 3 years no claims, had a 350z for a year, a couple of RX8's including an R3 and i was lucky enough to bag myself a BMW M135i!! so a 3.5l 350z when i was 19-20 was £1500 for the year insurance with a no fault accident a year before which bumped my insurance by £500 for someone running into the back of me stationary!!! Not bitter - promise... then last year i was in a pile up where the car in front hit the car in front of him and i sadly didn't see him slam on brakes in time for me to stop on the m25 leading me to go into back of him, minimal damage. NO ONE CLAIMED. Insurance quotes before i bought it were around £1700, but for some reason they are now asking £4000 WITHOUT A BLACK BOX FOR NO REASON THAT I CAN CLEARLY SEE. ITS INFURIATING. Does anyone have any tips rather than get rid of the car... that can help, insurance now is just a joke. Im in a well paid job but i cannot see how people afford to drive cars. the premiums are so poorly maintained and are quite frankly a con. ANGRY POST DONE.

Signed up to sell a few vehicles, 13months of built up rage I guess... hahaha. I understand the stats, but where do you get a number that's 1/3 of the value of the car, and NCB seems to make no difference!

I get that, but a 3.5l 350z which has become popular with all the local Rudeboys was only £1500 at 19-20 years old. But before I bought the car I got a quote for £1700 with everything mentioned but now I own it, they want twice as much?!
