SUV used vs new

I have a 2011 530d m sport with 60,000 miles. I've had it two years and it's a great car. I've 3 kids and I've been thinking about moving to an SUV. I've looked at Ford Edge, Skoda Kodiaq and LR D sport. The price of financing one of these vehicles hovers around 3/4 k deposit and then 400 a month
Alternatively I can get a VW Touraeg 2013 for 16k and this would do the same job??

I love the 530d but getting the kids in and out an SUV would be easier. The Kodiaq sportline is out with a deal of around 3500 and 399 a month. It's tempting...but so is a Touareg for 15k

I like the idea of a 4 wheel drive as the snow and where I live near had me over a ditch.
I've also looked at Quattro A6/7 and L R disco 4 as they are hovering around that 18k mark.
I d say it'll be a Touareg though...

Super, never considered the Grand Jeep Cherokee but they look a good option. 3.0 engine and lots of space. Have proved a Kodiaq sportline but it's 3k down and 370 a month.
There are well kitted out GJC for about 18.5k 2014 plate and they look a lovely jeep. Thanks for the advice

Took a look at a 2014 jaguar sportbrake 3.0 d this morning. Very impressive car with lots of space. Never had an estate but the sportbrake is a nice long car. Lovely engine too
