That's not a lease, it's a PCP...
I would hate for people to stop posting "decent" PCP deals here.

I was one of the lucky one's who managed to get the Nissan Leaf on a PCP over 2 years for £3k. So what if it is a PCP? If its a good deal then so be it...

If you could get a VW Golf R (holy grail) on a pcp over 2 years for £6k with a £25K balloon payment on the end or hand the car back. Are you going to shoot the messenger or be on the phone to VW ordering one up...

There has been many discussion, on changing the name of this thread to "best deal" but we never went through with it.

Anyway back to the "best way to ""own/"" a new car thread..."

Hello fellow leafie

Are you like me really disappointed in how much Nissan want for their new leaf pcp... nowhere near my £175
For sure! The new quote received was quite frankly ridiculous!

I slid into a C350e from fast bug to ease the pain slightly and thoroughly enjoying it!

I do miss the leaf though it was a cracking car!

the issue for me with posting PCP deals is that 9 times out of 10 they are not that good, and then we get into the whole philosophical argument about PCP versus lease, and then people starting asking basic questions about PCPs, and then we have this discussion about whether we should or should not accept PCP deals. I think the 'lease deals only' rule was intended as a shorthand for not having to deal with all that crap. No one is going to really kick off if someone posts a really good PCP deal - particularly if the lease for that particular car is nowhere near attractive, however I can honestly say I have never seen that happen, yet.
Well, if you wanted to author a sticky that we can place on the top of this forum, we could refer newbies to the top10 questions once they start posting:

1)Deals with no links
2)Why lease is better than PCP
3)Why PCP is better than leasing
4)Can I buy the car at the end of a lease deal
5)Can I pay a BMW business lease from my personal account thus avoiding the BIK associated tax
6)Do I get the initial deposit back
7) Where can I get a golf R for £199 month
8) I saw an offer on a C63s for £399 a month but when I phoned them up they quoted £999 month because the 1 car had been sold. Are they just phishing for my details
9)Do I need GAP insurance
10) What charges will be levied on me if I have smashed every panel of the car and curbed all wheels

You get the idea....

Not posted on here for years but have been reading this thread for a few weeks now.

I have just pulled the trigger on my first lease deal after always buying my cars with HP or cash.

Used What Car for an in-stock BMW M140 Shadow Edition from BMW Vines Gatwick with Met Paint, heated seats.
I'm hoping it was a decent deal? 3+35 8k for £328 per month, no admin fee and delivery in a couple of weeks.
Great deal and a brilliant car.

Thanks to the above guys for posting this awesome deal! :thumb:

Fisted the Kumquat on a new Touareg on a £3000 down and £315 a month, 8K mile ,24 month deal, with Windrush VW direct.

Should be here in around 2 weeks. Extremely surprised more people aren't jumping on this deal.

Will make a change from the previous lease deals we've had and our first SUV:

BMW M135i
VW Golf R
Nissan Leaf
Audi S8
Mercedes C350e
Alfa 4c

Tech version gives you this nice "Innovision Cockpit with Active Info display"

When R-Line Tech 286bhp version will come up at £10-12K for 2 year, I will consider it decent deal. Right now it's £16K. RRP is £58,195 but you can get discount of £9,123, so real price is more like £49K.

231 SEL is around £40K after discount.

Where is the 231 SEL available new for £40K after discount?

Go and have a look on the VW used website, you can't even get a 3K mile second hand one for that amount...

Just had a quick look on Broadspeed and the 231 SEL appears to be £41k.
Broadspeed are "broadly" speaking baiters. They don't have the offers they are hoping manufacturers will cut them a deal if they bring in customers.

Much prefer to use Car Wow (certain) or Drive the Deal (general) as a benchmark.

I digress, I have a leased 4c for fun, the Touareg is for family duties. I could never go back to a PCP or outright purchase or used. I prefer the hassle free nature of leasing and you can't do that for less that this offer for a car of that size in my opinion (and I don't want to be proven wrong-thanks!) Man maths and all of that...

41,816 for the Touareg on uknewcars.
Recently used and highly recommend, and I did a LOT of research!!
Interesting to know.

How much do you think a 2 year old 16K mile car would be worth as a trade-in or GFV on a PCP deal (after 24 months)? If it's £30K or less then leasing makes better financial sense.

He didn't create the original thread.

But strangely seems to want to start the new volume at 499 pages instead of just letting a mod do it whenevs as with every other thread on the forum.

Do you have a deal to post? If so, please post it here....warrior:
