New car time, must have memory electric seats as there's a a foot in height difference between the missus & I.

Only one I can find that comes in around £30k (and also has 0% finance deals at the mo too which helps) is the Ford Kuga Vignale - they're being reasonably discounted so should drop below £30k.

Mainly the missus' car but I will drive it reasonably often.

But, that seems to be it!

Any other ideas?

I have looked at these and if I recall, it's only the top spec ones and the price point is too high, will check again though.

Thanks all - now going to have a look at the Tiguan & CX5. No 0% but I'm sure a deal can be done if its the right car.

I personally would love the Volvo but the colour options are so dull - missus wants something a bit more vibrant and has flatly refused - what's weird is, the XC40 is meant to be for the younger market etc... and has dour colours, yet the larger estates and stuff have at least one vibrant colour - doesn't make sense.

No interest in BMW.

We've had a bit more time to look at what's what, and refined what we want.

Compact SUV type thing
Petrol
Auto
AWD - when needed, doesn't need to be permanent
Memory Drivers Seat
Ruby Red, Blue - something that isn't a variation of Black or White and all the greys and silvers in between.
Cream/light interior would be nice but not a deal breaker (the only one that we'll be flexible with)
Around £30k - the 'deal' is important, 0% finance would be most preferable - currently only on the Ford & Nissan below.

Ford Kuga Titanium X - No seats
Ford Kuga Vignale - Dull as fk colours
Mazda CX5 - no AWD
Nissan Qashkai - no AWD
Subaru XV - no seats, capable but really dull
VW Tiguan (and the other VAG) - Can't match up engines at the moment due to failing tests and dealer doesn't know when that'll happen but most likely well into the New Year but can't guarantee how the specs will be
Volvo XC40 - No deals to be had, long wait time, over budget really - shame, by far the nicest of the bunch.
Peugeot 3008 - no Petrols in the spec that has the seats.
Honda CR-V - Too pricey, needs to be top spec to get seats.

Not looked at...

BMW & Land Rover - Above budget and not enamoured with tales reliability issues and terrible dealers.

Very frustrating - if only the Kuga had a half decent colour for the top spec, we'd buy immediately. Wife likes it, I'm ok with it, good finance and good discounts. I think she'll end up going for the Dark Grey as she's just getting pissed off with the whole process now, but it's a shame to have to compromise on something so fundamental on a brand new £30k
