For the in-laws. Only going to cover 8k p/a tops, needs decent boot space with as flat an area as possible to take a wheelchair, smaller than A4/3/C class.
£12-15k available, but like most they’re fearful of future tax costs, and regardless of the hype around it, Bath (where they live) will be introducing a Low Emissions Zone, so low emissions (and petrol or hybrid given mileage) ideal. Leather also a really desirable option, as would be having it heated.
Obvious candidate is an Uber Hybrid Auris, but is the boot space up to much with the batteries?
Megane looks good VFM, but engine choice is mediocre at best, 1.5D that powered Noah’s Ark and probably not Euro whatever compliant, 1.2 seems pathetic). Not sure it comes with leather either.
Astra gets ZX10 thumbs up in Elite Nav form or at least 1.6T, and I don’t see that engine in the estate, but that trim is and it has cow.
Focus?
What else? Kia Ceed 1.0 ticks most boxes but surely depreciation will be savage?
