NEW RULES FOR CAR BUYING FORUM!

Hello car buyers,
We'd like to announce an update for the rules in this particular area in the forums! So I'll cut straight to the chase...
The previous rule was that users were NOT allowed to post links to their own adverts anywhere in the forums.
We have now amended that rule (rule 16) to;
16. Do not post for the purpose of advertising for personal gain, unless you are responding to a thread in the Car Buying forum and sharing a link to your car that's for sale in the PistonHeads classifieds. Starting a thread specifically to advertise your car is not allowed.
We've also amended rule 12. i. to align with this:
12. Types of Thread/Posts that are not permitted in the forums:
i. Do not post links to your friend's or family's adverts, unless you are posting in Car Buying responding to an existing thread (see rule 16).
This means that if someone has started a thread asking about a car in this sub forum and you have a variant of that very car for sale, you CAN now post a link to the thread telling them you have such a car.
Posting your own adverts from other sites are still NOT allowed.
The usual posting for personal gain rules still apply, so no flogging your kitchen business etc...
