Time for a new car and need some help/inspiration
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I am in the market for a new car and will have around £12k to spend on one.
I am looking for something that is nippy so sub 7.5 seconds 0-60 and can average 35mpg+ I need rear doors as I have two dogs, I guess that's the main areas and good handling for twisty B roads
One main question is I do around 8-10k miles a year so should I stay clear of diesel cars?
Thanks in advance

Megane 250 cup, seems the logical option, am sure a really nice one can be had for that. but the 35mpg average for most petrol cars with reasonable performance may be a push. Depends on how you do your mileage... Even an M135i can average that if you trickle about at 60mph on average...
Thank youAre Megane's 4/5 door? Will check them out if so and the BMW 1 series has been on the list so just need to find the right one, I know 12k isn't a huge sum of money for some people but this car will have to last at least 3-4 years so want something I will enjoy
