The finance company say that ALD are very slow at the moment to issue a decision on new lease contracts and it's nothing to worry about. Is this normal? My credit score is only a few points off being as high as it goes on Experian. Wondering what could be holding it up?

Might be that the broker hasn't fulfilled enough orders to confirm the deal you have signed up to yet!

It appears to be an in stock pre reg car. Would that apply to this? I wonder if anyone else has been experiencing ALD being slow doing a finance check?

I wouldn't pay to much attention to the broker saying stock offer, I have been burnt many a time by a broker saying that and the deal being cancelled a few weeks later.

My advise would be to send emails and call them frequently, hopefully their telling the truth but a finance application takes no longer than filling in your details for insurance on a comparison site and finance checks are 95% automated.

I'm quite please I managed to cancel my new lease just over a week ago for a replacement A4 Avant, my current Avant is booked for collection mid April, hopefully by then the Outlook might be brighter.

I bought a shed in the meantime but will likely stick with it for the foreseeable future provided it stays reliable.

I hope you all get your vehicles sorted in this uncertain time!
