5 grand for a second car

Hi all,

So I use a daily shed for work which gets a good beating but is a very solid and reliable Audi A3 1.9 tdi. >2k in value.

I am itching for a weekend petrol toy to use and enjoy, I enjoy driving so looking for something for B roads which I can use and get a good driving experience from,

From what I have read an mx5 is the go to, does anyone have any other suggestions ? Happy to stretch a bit and go over if need to on budget, only requirement really is would prefer something fairly sporty, if I can get 4 seats great, otherwise 2 seats not too much of an issue. Would also prefer tax to be under the 200 a year region really, was looking at a few nissans and tax was nearly 500:O which I could not justify,
