I’ve run sheds for many years but at 66 I find myself with £10k to spend on something as new as possible. This will hopefully last a lot of years.

I’ve got a 2013 208 which I bought cheap just now which is okay but I just want a bit of a change. It doesn’t need to be fast but not a plodder either.

Any ideas apart from the obligatory Corsa or Jazz?

Thanks.

Some interesting stuff that wasn’t on my radar but just the kind of thing I’m looking for. I seem to have got focussed on the Fiestas and Corsas of this world and forget other choices are available biggrin

I’ve been into bikes for many years for my thrills and I hate to admit it on PH but a car is just for getting from A to B to me. But that’s not to say it shouldn’t be as nice a car as possible.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

You might as well get from A-B with a bit of pace & grace so if it was me I'd go for the Astra GTC VXR they're a very good steer with a nice turn of pace for when you need to get somewhere swiftly.

There also practical with a big boot & a smart interior:

You also benefit from Vauxhall running costs.

So what do you ride?
Nice cars but with the drawback is that they aren’t much younger than my current 2013 208. I’m not keen on dropping £10k on a car that’s no newer than mine.

Maybe that’s wrong or looking at it the wrong way but that’s how I feel.

Just now I’ve got a Sprint GT. Before that a ZZR 1100 and GSXR 750.

The 208 is fine sizewise.

I’ve had Corsas and Fiestas so it doesn’t bother me to drop down in size slightly.

Well that idea went South quickly.

I’ve just put a deposit down on a 6 month old ST-line Hybrid Fiesta at a *bit* more than £10k.

I really shouldn’t be let out on my own. hehe
