Interested in getting opinion on the car below, it looks extremely clean and is a great spec apart from one big but, it doesn't have the larger screen. How much of an issue is this?

Only you know how important it is to you, for me it was a must have feature as the cost of retro fitting is more than the 'extra' cost of buying one with it already fitted.
pro-nav means prettier maps, split screen capability, 20gb hard drive for media, an additional usb port, touchscreen, spotify integration and probably some other stuff I'm not aware of.
retrofit costs -https://definedcoding.co.uk/products/professional-navigation-retrofit-609?variant=39824815980607
Yeah that's definitely cost prohibitive for me to retrofit. I think I will look for a car with it already. pro-nav means prettier maps, split screen capability, 20gb hard drive for media, an additional usb port, touchscreen, spotify integration and probably some other stuff I'm not aware of.

I find the one linked strange, it has heated seats and HK but not the pronav
Was thinking the same- it’s also got folding mirrorsIt also seems to be slightly lower priced compared to equivalent approved used cars. It’s why I wanted to get peoples opinions
Out of the car linked,

And this one (personally I don’t think this looks as clean and the tacky badge on the idrive puts me off)

Which would you choose?

Shadow edition with heated seats, there must be loads out there like that. Look for one with pronav if that's what you're after.

I always wonder what people do in their cars when ‘infotainment’ is top of the list, I literally turn the radio volume up and down and that’s it.
You’re right, I’m really over thinking this. I’m coming from a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX with the standard stereo so this will be like a spaceshiphiccy18 said:

Make sure you get HK audio though (inc’d in the shadow edition) as the standard system is poor.
Personally, having heard both, I am not sure I’d pay extra for it!Chris

Mine is a totally stock, no options, 2019 Shadow Line.
Things I would have liked are heated seats and folding mirrors.
Things that don't bother me are not having the "big" screen and reversing camera.
On earlier models, the smaller screen was much more obviously a "poverty spec" thing, having a big plastic surround. On later cars, the small screen is all "glass", just with the outside edges not lit up. No split screen function, but it's easy to switch between different displays with the memory button. I just leave mine on the trip computer, unless I'm using the nav. Track info and stuff comes up on the cluster display anyway.
It's a running joke on various Facebook groups that a car without professional nav is worth peanuts, as nobody will buy it. In reality, many left the factory in "poverty spec", as they were on lease deals.
Thanks for the insight, I’m with you. Things I would have liked are heated seats and folding mirrors.

It’s really the resale thing I’m worried about, like you say the internet makes you think a car without is worthless

Colour combo wouldn't do it for me. Oyster (cream) with silver would be a no.State of the wheels and the scuffed sill don't suggest it's been a cherished car.

Just to put my opinion of HK out there..
It's not bad, not amazing but good though.
It's not as good as the HK in the 3 series, however if you appreciate music in the slightest then it's a must.
I can't stress this enough - the base audio is embarrassingly poor.
Interesting you say it’s better in the 3 series, the 340i seems a step above in a lot of areas. For the slightly higher price a 340i might be a better option? It's not bad, not amazing but good though.

The car itself looks to have been quite low spec, but has quite a bit of M Performance extras.Eg, no HK, no rear parking sensors, small screen NAV.
Conversely, it has had a wheel upgrade, alcantara steering wheel, carbon inserts inside and the side skirt add ons.
I like the colour combo though and it seems pretty well priced.
Is the steering wheel and carbon bits genuine BMW?
I also can’t decide if I like the wheels or not

It’s a strange one isn’t it. Like you say it’s a pretty basic spec but has pretty much every M Performance extra thrown at it. Part of me wonders if it has a LSD.

It may not be that strange. One scenario is that it was bought by the first owner in "lease" spec, handed back after a couple of years (keeper change on 05-08-2017), and then the subsequent owner has spent some money on modifying it. I think my only concern would be the extent of those mods, but it's backed by the BMW AUC warranty which would give some reassurance. Is the steering wheel and carbon bits genuine BMW?
